One Thing - 2/6/15

Thankful to have 2 vehicles today. I hopped in the van with just enough time to make an appointment only to discover that the battery was dead. So glad Mike was home so I could take the Vibe. Since this is the 3rd time this battery has died in the past few months, Mike decided to replace it. The boys were happy to watch over his work!

One Thing - 2/5/15

Jonah's newest read aloud book is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We are almost halfway in, and he is loving it! Today, Jonah discovered who Aslan is.
I loved the "old rhyme" the Beavers share about Aslan:
"Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again."
I'm looking forward to that day!

One Thing - 2/3/15

The kids and I had a big day today!

We started out with a trip to Costco -there was a lot on our list.
(Can you find Baby Jude?!)

Then, we picked up lunch from Olive Garden to bring to Great Grandma's house

After lunch, the kids got to open a little gift - dress up outfits. We now have a road worker, a firefighter, and a doctor in our family!

We visited for a bit then tried to get on the road before the afternoon rush hour, but with the inch of falling snow and the early rush hour, it took us twice as long to get home as usual.

We praise God for a great day!

Yesterday

We enjoyed having friends over yesterday.

The boys spent the whole time building Legos

The girls played quite a few different things but especially liked play dough.

One Thing - 2/1/15

It isn't easy getting 4 kids ready and out the door for church on Sunday mornings by myself. For some reason, Sunday mornings never seem to go as smoothly as other days. A new habit that has helped a little is that after the big kids are dressed, brushed, and combed, they can climb into our bed and watch a little Curious George on TV while Jude and I get ready. For the time being it is a good motivator!
