Today was a big day at our house. Jonah started kindergarten! After much thought and prayer, we decided to homeschool this fall. Jonah has been so excited about starting and has been talking about it for days. He was up early this morning ready to go! Sadly, Jonah has been battling a fever and cough since late last week. It has definitely taken a toll on him, and I could see his fatigue as we worked together this morning. But, he didn't want to stop or even take a break. This afternoon, I took Jonah to the doctor and got him on some meds that will hopefully help him to feel better soon. I told Jonah that he it is a good thing we are doing school at home because if he was going to school he would have had to miss at least the first two days because of being sick!
Although our first day didn't go exactly as planned due to sickness, a trip to the doctor, lots of phone calls with new insurance, and a couple of trips to the pharmacy, we still finished all of Jonah's schoolwork today including this Lego calendar. We are praying for a healthier boy tomorrow! Oh, and Mike didn't work today making it a bit easier to do schoolwork with Jonah. Tomorrow will be the real test for how to make homeschooling Kindergarten work with a 3 month old, a 23 month old, and a 4 year old to care for as well!
