One Thing - 8/22/14

This afternoon, we checked out an annual event in a nearby small town, Ogilvie, called Corn on the Curb. The already cooked and buttered corn was free! Different groups from the town had food booths selling supper and dessert items. And, there were a few little carnival type games for the kids. Our corn on the cob loving kids had a great time!

One Thing - 8/21/14

It has been a while since I have managed to post anything on our blog because we have been too busy moving and settling into our new home. There is still lots of settling to do - there are boxes everywhere! Since Mike officially started working on Tuesday, very little unpacking has been accomplished. My goal is two boxes a day (it may seem like a small goal, but even two isn't easy!). We are loving our new home and our new community.

I haven't even taken many pictures. Poor Jude really is going to be baby #4 with no pictures of him. One day we will have to explain to him that he was born at a crazy time in the life of our family but that he was one well-loved-on baby as Jonah, Silas, and Lydia care for him so well!

Last Friday we went to Ikea and the Mall of America. The boys enjoyed building with Legos in the huge Lego store.

Today I took all 4 kids on a major grocery shopping trip to the nearest "big" city (Cambridge). We shopped at 3 stores. I will admit that I wasn't too excited about the morning when we took off, but the kids blew me away with how great they were. We needed 2 carts at each store - one for Lydia and Jude to ride in and another one for our groceries. Jonah took on the responsibility of pushing our grocery cart through all of the stores. He did awesome!! I know every shopping trip won't go this well, but my crew definitely impressed me this morning!
